FRONT OFFICE MANAGER (FOM)

Position: FOM at Zoé's Paradise Waterfront Hotel

Location: Samosir Island, Lake Toba, Sumut, Indonesia

 

Zoé's Paradise Waterfront Hotel is a charming boutique hotel with 17 guest rooms, located on the shores of Samosir Island in Indonesia, offering a picturesque setting with stunning nature and a relaxed atmosphere. As our Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and smooth functioning of the hotel.


Note: We need you as a real support of the team. A personality who leads by example and appreciates the employees and therefore a common, pleasant interaction with each other is a matter of course.

You need all-round expertise in the international hotel industry and noticeable enthusiasm as well as a natural leadership talent based on mutual respect. If you are also someone who actively tackles things yourself, then this position is ideal for you!


That's what we're looking for:
We a
re looking for a dedicated and experienced Front Office Manager who will enrich our boutique hotel with his passion for hospitality and professional demeanor. If you have a strong ability to offer a warm welcome while smoothly coordinating organizational operations, we warmly invite you to become part of our team.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and looking after guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.

  • Receiving and processing reservations, inquiries and complaints.

  • Ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

  • Lead and train receptionists to ensure excellent customer service.

  • Management of the hotel booking systems and maintenance of the guest database.

  • Monitoring and coordination of room allocation as well as cleaning and maintenance work.

  • Processing payments, invoicing and preparing reports for management.

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize hotel occupancy

  • Collaborate with travel agencies, tour operators, and online booking platforms

  • Promote the hotel through social media presence and other marketing channels

  • Prepare budgets and monitor the hotel's financial performance and others like daily accounting etc.

  • Control costs and expenses

  • Generate reports and analyze financial metrics

  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

  • Cooperation with other departments to ensure smooth operations, also from an administrative point of view.

  • Maintaining adequate inventory for office and guest supplies

Requirements:

  • Education in business administration or proven experience in the hotel industry, preferably as a front office manager or in a similar position.

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Experience in social media marketing etc.

  • Ability to lead, motivate and train a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Fluent knowledge of English, other languages are an advantage.

  • Sound knowledge of hotel booking systems, MS Office and Canva

  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.

  • Be able to drive a motorbike and if possible also a car.

Salary: 4 Million basic plus win bonus. This mean, if you achieve the set goals, then you can earn up to 6 million. It depends on your skills (know how) and activities.
